I suppose some would call this a very nice portfolio. It isn't 'bad' but there were just some things about it that were somewhat underdone. I have a pretty fair eye for leather construction quality and this was lacking. Certainly, I didn't expect "Coach" quality, but there were stitching "bunches" in obvious places. Like what you would get if the bobbin tension were not set properly. And at this price, you would expect it to have been fixed. The edgings around the zipper had only been folded over once, and not rolled over on each side to hide the rough edges of the edging itself. The detail pictures on Amazon were difficult to make out due to the color of it (black). It was also difficult to get the zippers started from it's wide open position. If I had had this in hand in a store, I wouldn't have purchased it.
I also should have paid more attention to where it came from! WOW! To ship it back, almost 42% of the cost of it! And it was only a little over 5% to get it here to So. CA! It had to go back to Quebec, Canada. Lesson learned.
