You can smell the Moo!Feb 17, 2011

So who the heck is Bugatti? Sounds like a car. Well they seem to be producing a product that hit my price point. The designer stuff is in the 100s and the Staples Schlock is in the $20s to $30s so $70.00 to me is reasonable for a stylish leather portfolio. I'm the kind of person who likes value, a reasonable price with great features is what I look for, and this fits the bill.
Let's begin with the two most important thing.
1st. Yes this is Leather. It smells like leather no doubt about it. I read a review of another of their products and the customer said it wasn't leather so I was keeping my fingers crossed and was very pleased when I smelled the moo.
2nd most important is that it looks professional. You walk in with this shiny cowhide portfolio and they know you mean business.
You can look at the pictures and see all the functionality so I'll forgo all the details.
It is reasonably sized. I'm a Sales Manager in California and this is exactly the look and functionality for me. I go on 1 or two business meetings a week and this looks smart without being too formal. For California the briefcase would be too highbrow and I don't carry that many papers.
Contrary to another review the zippers work perfectly. Now the bad. Not really much. It looks like this is hand stitched so (under the microscope and not noticeable at all) I see some minor imperfections but hey isn't that better than Machine made.
If I have 1 gripe which could be a positive for another person. I'd probably prefer this not to have the outside pockets and be a little slimmer. But I'll bet you I'll change my story in a few months when I find a use for them.
I think this may be my lucky charm, I wrote more business today than the other two salespeople in the office have written all month!(Irrelevant to the review but I felt like bragging). I took this out on my business meeting with me (First Use) and in the middle we had some number crunching to do and the CEO says " You have a calculator let's run some numbers". I felt so prepared and smart. Yes I know that any smartphone has a calculator but it's not the same as having it attached to your Portfolio Case.
To sum it up, reasonably priced, lots of features and smart looking this Leather Portfolio wont' dissapoint. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Follow up 1 month later. Taking it to a trade show and borrowed my daughters IPAD it fits perfectly inside the folder inside the case. So it's definitely IPAD compatible.

Nice Looking BinderAug 29, 2009
By Clemo53 The leather 3-ring binder portfolio by Bugatti is quite handsome and feels great to the touch. The last leather binder I bought for my son lasted three years and I'm hoping this one will last that long as well. It might seem expensive to buy for someone in high school, but after buying multiple regular binders in one year alone, it really pays off.
I liked this one because it doesn't have any handles and he can tuck it under his arm or stack books. There's lots of room for the items he needs for class, although he can't stuff more than one book in it, unlike the previous one. Students aren't allowed to carry backpacks to the rooms anymore, but are expected to take binders. The leather binder can take a lot of rough and tumble plus protect that expensive calculator inside.

Cheap Knock OffJun 22, 2011

I had a cousin of mine that recently received her Ph.D. and I wanted to get her something professional-looking to start her on her career. I chose the Bugatti Leather Ring Binder Portfolio thanks to its reasonable price, good looks and listed features. Unfortunately, what I received in the mail did not live up to my expectations. While the leather exterior was well designed and free of blemishes, I opened it up to find that the interior was another story. Instead of a cloth- or plastic-lined interior, I found that the cheap cardboard stiffeners were readily visible. A "Made in China" tag was also readily visible. A flimsy cardboard sheet lifter was included instead of a plastic one and, worst of all, a cheap (I keep using that word...) 4-function calculator with a _broken_ display was included. I immediately asked for and received a return authorization from the seller, myBizBag.
Please let me note here that my 1-star rating is _only_ for the portfolio and not the seller. MyBizBag rates a 5-star for their courteous and prompt service, both in the delivery of the portfolio and its return. They even refunded my shipping costs. Kudos to them!

good quality, versatile and designed well. The only problem that I found is minor. If you do not unzip it all the way, the zipper gets caught up where it opens. You have to pull it hard to get out the zipper tab. Other than that, it is a wonderful product that I would recommend to anyone.
