Poor constructionDec 03, 2009
By Heather M. Jones I am so sad about this toy. It has so much potential--keys that light up when you press them, special training modes, lots of instruments, and cheap--but it just isn't durable enough. My son spotted it in the store and fell instantly in love, so we bought it as an early Christmas present. Unfortunately when we got it home we discovered that one of the keys didn't work right, so we exchanged it for another one. We just opened the new one, and it is switching functions at random, completely broken. One additional problem, when it's working, is that the sound quality is poor--the default piano sound only sounds remotely like a piano in the middle range, for example. Returning the piano will break my son's heart, but we'll have to.

Broken right out of the boxDec 24, 2010
By From Japan As the title say's. I picked this up from a different location but its the same product. Bought it for my son's Christmas present. We opened it up and after changing out the batteries, it seems that the speakers get power but everything after that does not.
I no longer have the receipt so I will have to bite the bullet on this one. Just a fair warning to all those that may be interested in this, you may want to rethink this as a present.

Chinese Junk - Broke right out of the boxDec 25, 2010

Broke right out of the box. Everything was in tact, but when we put the batteries in and tried to power it on, nothing happened. Even after double checking to make sure the batteries were inserted properly, the thing didn't power on. It wasn't till after this that i saw the sticker on the back that said "Made in China" that I knew I had purchased a defective product. I noticed there were other reviews that said the same thing about this product. It has a DC power input slot on the side for an AC power supply, but I'm assuming that item is sold separately because i didn't get one in my box. ALL IN ALL, PLEASE AVOID THIS PRODUCT!
Huge Disappointment!Dec 27, 2011

My boys (2&6) got this for Christmas and were very excited because they both love music. As soon as we took it out of the box, we noticed that despite following the directions, we couldn't change the tone of the keys, like it said (making it sound like different instruments) and sometimes the volume would change on its own. The boys really didn't care much about that, and were having a great time starting the rhythms and "playing" and singing along. I reached over and played a few notes - and one of the black keys feel right of, into the keyboard! We fished it out and decided that we might be able to glue it back on. The boys were playing with it a second time and 3 more black keys broke off and fell in! I gave it 3 stars for fun because they are still playing with it, even without those keys, but I suspect it will soon have no black keys at all, I wonder how long it will even work. I believe the relative who bought it got it on clearance, but I intend to get the packaging back and contact the company.
JunkDec 11, 2011
By Lewis Modano Worked for 3 days, won't turn on afterwards. Typical Chinese quality. Will buy a Casio soon (made in Japan), enough with low quality Chinese crap.
